A modern student media platform
Licensed under the NBC Act, PolyIlaro 92.1 FM was inaugurated on December 16, 2019—with key NBC, institution, and royal dignitaries present—and began full broadcasting on July 11, 2020. The station is governed by a Radio Station Management Board and led by a management team consisting of the Station Manager and the Heads of Programs, News, and Marketing. Broadcasting beyond the campus to the wider Ogun West community (where over 95% of the staff reside), the station currently transmits more than 60 programs.
We exist at the intersection of educational broadcasting and modern digital media, training the next generation of storytellers while soundtracking campus life.

Radio Towards Development
Station Inaugurated
PolyIlaro 92.1 FM was inaugurated in an epoch-making event attended by a representative of the National Broadcasting Commission, the institution's management team, and the Olu of Ilaro and Paramount Ruler of Yewa Land, HRM Oba Kehinde Olugbenle, MFR — following the license granted to the Federal Polytechnic Ilaro to run campus radio under the NBC Act.
Full Broadcast Begins
The station commenced full-fledged broadcasting, extending its reach beyond the four walls of the institution to the entire host community — where over 95% of staff reside.
Governance
The station is governed by a Radio Station Management Board — a Chairman, a Secretary (a representative of the Registrar), a representative of the Bursar, the Deputy Registrar, Public Relations, a Legal Adviser, the Head of the Department of Mass Communication, and the Head of the department's Broadcast Unit, alongside the Station Manager.
Reach
Led day-to-day by the Station Manager and the Heads of Programme, News & Current Affairs, and Marketing, the station transmits more than 60 programmes to listeners across several communities in Ogun West.
