Licensed under the NBC Act, PolyIlaro 92.1 FM was inaugurated on December 16, 2019—with key NBC, institution, and royal dignitaries present—and began full broadcasting on July 11, 2020. The station is governed by a Radio Station Management Board and led by a management team consisting of the Station Manager and the Heads of Programs, News, and Marketing. Broadcasting beyond the campus to the wider Ogun West community (where over 95% of the staff reside), the station currently transmits more than 60 programs.

PolyIlaro 92.1 FM is a strategic initiative of the Polytechnic, designed to train market-ready graduates in mass communication, marketing, computer and mechanical engineering. The Campus Radio will definitely serve as a connection between the institution and the media industries, providing our graduates with opportunities to practice. Our campus radio station is a testament to our commitment to using broadcasting as a tool for education, engagement, and sustainable development.
